This week over all was really good. We
had a lot of great stuff happen. First off, we are finding a lot of new people
to teach- which is great! We found, recently, a less active member named Manuel
and he is a great guy. He has such great desires to come back to church but is very
shy and timid person. We are going to help by being by his side the whole way. Also,
he has a sister and friend who are not members that love to listen as we come
and talk with him.
We also found a lot of other new families.
There is one, his name is Sergio, we have passed by his house countless times. He
would always say to us to come back another day. Well, he finally let us in and we were able to
talk with him and share about the restoration and the Book of Mormon.
Honestly, the hardest part of this
week is when we get in and teach what we think is a great first lesson and give
them a Book of Mormon. They say they will read and pray and then we set another
appointment with them. And we go the second time and they are not there. That’s
a bit hard. But what they don’t know, is
that I am willing to be as stubborn as them. So we just keep passing by again
and again and again until someone is there or lets us in.
It’s been really a good week with ups
and downs- but that is life. It is never a reason to give up we just got to
keep trying and trying. I have seen it this week. If we keep trying and trying,
sooner or later the lord is going to open the door for us. Have a great week
and keep on going strong.
