Well this week I hit the six month
point and its honestly only felt like a few days that I have been gone. This
week was a pretty good one. We had the opportunity this week to do a family
home evening as a ward and it went really good. It is actually one of the first
ward activities that they have had in a long time. I was worried, at first,
cause not a lot of people were showing up to it but by the time we got going we
had a lot of people there. They all loved it and it is really sending some life
into our ward.
We have a new Elder’s Quorum
president and he is really stepping things up. He has a great desire to go out
and work and improve the ward--partly because he was a missionary in this same
area about 6 years ago. So, that is going really good. It’s amazing to see the
ward start to step and want to work. Honestly, the work is so much harder
without the ward’s help.
In terms of our investigators, this
was a really hard week for them. A lot of people couldn`t meet with us and we
spent a lot of time trying to find new investigators. We are doing a lot of
work trying our best to find new people to teach.
This week I have thought a lot about
trails and why we have them. Why we have hard days? Hard weeks? Hard months? Its
simply cause the lord wants us to grow and if things were easy we would never
grow its in those moments of pain and trial that we become closer to the lord. It’s
when all other sources leave us and we have only him. That is when we learn
trust, love and faith. Never turn your back on the lord when the waters get
rough hunker down and keep on working. Don’t give in and don’t slacken your
hand.
I hope you all have a great week
te quiero mucho
