A QUICK ONE
¡Hola! sorry that this week is going
to be such a short blog post but the sever was kind of full and it took forever
for a seat to open up.
This week has been a great one we
had a great time we have been finding some new people and that is always great
for us
The biggest thing that happened this
week was we had a lesson with our recent convert Ignacio. He is super cool but
we have always had to teach him in other people’s houses cause of his mom. Well
on Saturday he invited us to come to his house and teach him there. We went and
from the moment she saw us and nos mandò al infierno (you can translate that in
google) she condemned our false doctrine and said that thanks to us and what we
do her son is not going to get saved. That was just in the doorstep. If you can
see what kind of person we are dealing with here. It was very interesting at
first she wouldn’t let us even walk in the door. so we stood on the door step
and she spoke all sorts of bad about the church. With time she let us come in.
(her son was insisting that we go in even if she said we were not welcome) we
she let us in even though we still weren’t welcome.
We get in Ignacio takes us to his
room and block the door with a stool so his mom can’t get in. she beats at the
door gets a foot in and kicks the stool away. She came in and contained her
attack. we did our best to defend without bible bashing (knowing that was not
the step to take) we bore our testimonies about the book of Mormon and the
doctrine that it teaches and the spirit was super strong even her son Ignacio
gave a powerful testimony. all of which she rejected outright so we just ask if
there is anything else she would like to say she gives her surman and even prays
in front of us that our eyes may be opened and we may see the truth. she finish
I say ``well hermana the book of Mormon is true`` and then we ask if we could
share a bit of scripture with Ignacio without her interrupting she said yes and
quietly listen (only interrupted 3 times) and we could have a good
lesson.
It was incredible I felt my
testimony grow so much strong after walking out of that house if felt like Ammon
in the book of Mormon defending king lamoni before his father. it was great
very spiritual. a lot of stuff happened this week but I don’t have time to tell
it all sorry but I would like to end with a scripture
10 And blessed are all they who are persecuted for myname’s sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 And blessed are ye when men shall revile you andpersecute, and shall say all manner of evil against youfalsely, for my sake;
12 For ye shall have great joy and be exceedingly glad, forgreat shall be your reward in heaven; for so persecuted theythe prophets who were before you.
