¡Hola! well this week the cold
finally has come to Santiago. I have been waiting so long for it. This week has
been a good week sadly this week we have not been able to see Octavio with his
new work he has gotten pretty busy so we haven’t been able to visit with him.
Amigo and his wife are doing really great. Amigo is about 2 weeks without
drinking he is still trying to overcome the last bit of his smoking addiction.
He is smoking about 1 cigarette a day so he is really close. His wife is doing
great and is ready when he is to get baptized. we have got some other people
who we are starting to visit but when they begin to take greater progression I
will let you know. Ariel Gallardo sadly is still in the hospital and as soon as
he gets out we will begin to visit him again.
This week has been another week full
of contacts. I love doing contacts because we always get to meet so many
different kinds of people. We can knock 20 doors and get to know 20 different beliefs
and 20 different life stories. Even though it can be hard sometimes as we go
door after door trying everything we know how so that people will listen and
nothing really happens by it just rejection and rejection. That’s where the
great part of faith comes in. its faith that keeps us knocking doors faith that
truly the lord is preparing people to hear the gospel. Its faith that helps us
keep going. I feel it’s the same in all attempts to share the gospel. Be it missionaries
or members we will face rejection sometime maybe even many times but if we keep
trying the lord will put the people he has prepared for us in our path. I think
that’s a bit of why the lord said "if yea shall labor all your days and
bring save it be one soul unto me in the kingdom of my father how great shall
be your joy with him." (That a translation I know it better in Spanish) I
think the joy will be so great in part because it was not easy we failed many
times before we succeeded. so keep trying keep sharing the gospel the lord is
preparing people for us all of us I know it.
I hope you have a great week
