CHI CHI CHI LE LE LE VIVA CHILE

¡Hola! well this week has been a intresting week for the last few week the copa América (american cup) has been going on. its the giante soccer champoinship between all the countries down here in south america. its basicly as big as the world cup so everyone is going crazy for that. its cool to see its like living a shorter version of the world cup. chile is doing good every time them play we have to stay inside (luckly the games are played in the evening) other then that we have seen some good progress this week.
Well as for the familia amigo the husband aierl has been drunk for about a week now (diffrent levels but still drunk) we have made the choice after talking it over to go ahead and do the baptism of his wife elisia cause she is so ready she wants to get baptised is coming to chruch and everything. we hope that she can set the good example for him and that it will give him the motivation to overcome his addictions and prepare himself for baptism.
I dont know if i mentioned or not but octavio is preparing himself to get married his girlfriend katy which is a big step towards his full activity in the church. He is still having alot of problems alot but he is trying his best to overcome his problems i have great hope for him.
We also found a cool new guy his name is jaun he is a 19 guy who is just starting out on his own he lives in a small house and is just starting out. he is really receptive he comes from a really falite (ghetto) place but wants to improve his life he is super great we are hoping to see great progress with him he took the first lesson really well and is really thinking seriously about baptism.
overall things are going great i hope you all have a great week forgive me that im not sending photos but i forgot my camera again. good news using a paper clip focus and a bit of thinking i have fixed my glasses i would send a photo but no camera hope you all have a good time

THE WEEK OF MANY LANGUAGES

¡Hola! This week was a good week kind of strange we had a three language week this week. First off we had the chance to teach Herman amigo again this week. He is going strong again with strong desires from him and his wife to get baptized and we are hoping and praying that he gets the strength to overcome his adictions. We know he wants to and we are hoping for success. That we taught in Spanish
Also this week we had a lesson with a new investigator we found whose name is john (Juan). he was an interesting contact cause he spoke English with us. he had lived for many years in Georgia and speaks perfect English. he had a lot of questions about the church and us and all sorts of stuff and he asked and we responded and taught all in English it was kind of hard. Actually when it came time to do the closing prayer I had to do it in Spanish cause I couldn’t do it in English. it was so different to be teaching in English for a lesson the first time teaching a whole lesson in just English
The third was with Luis he is deaf he is the hardest of the three cause my sign language is really ruff I have forgotten a lot so our lessons are really basic with  him. We try to bring movies or something to watch. He is kind of hard to find and when we happen to find him we don’t have the movie with us so I have to try to pull something out. They are very basic lessons but he is very patient with us and that is good. Lessons in sign language very hard.
Overall it’s been a great week we continue doing a lot of contacts trying our best to find new people even if the progress is slow there is progress and that is the most important.
I hope you all have a great week things are great over here. I don’t have photos today cause I forgot my camera so I will send some next week have a great week

A HARD BUT GOOD WEEK.

6/10/2015

¡Hola! Well as says this week was kind of a hard week. That should come as a surprise to no one. Anyone who has taken part in missionary work knows that there are good times and hard times. The amazing thing is that many times the hard times become the most precious to us. Many times we as people tend to flee from the hard times. We wish to live in peace not have problems that things just work out perfectly. We do fine with just a few bumps but no one goes looking for hard times and trials but heavenly father being much wiser then all of us throws us into hard times anyway even if we don’t like it even if we don’t want it. Why cause he loves us. He knows that only in the hard time do we really grow. That how I have felt this week even as things are not working how I would want them to even facing rejections I feel peace I feel that things will be okay. Which is a feeling that only comes from the savior. The feeling that even though I have no idea why I know that everything will be okay. That’s how I feel everything will work out keep pushing keep going. I know it’s the same for all of us. We will all hit hard moments not that we need going to look to make life hard but hardships will come. Even as they come the peace will also come if we seek it. ``for my peace I leave you my peace give unto you not as the world giveth give I unto you`` I know that peace is really I truly do.
Also this week amigo has been progressing again he got attacked a few nights ago but came out not to harmed. He is reading and reading in the book of Mormon we are hoping this time he can really find the strength to leave drinking forever.
Also, just today actually my glasses broke after 21 months of good service to me they have broken. (a moment of silence please) got to love p-day sports. I’m probably going to mc giver it for the next few months.
Have a great week.

AN INTRESTING WEEK

June 3, 2016
¡Hola! This week was an interesting week. This week a changed ended and I had a lot of the friends I made here in the mission go home. My district leader went home too, Elder Vildoso. There is such a great love between missionaries. People who I never would even imagine that I would someday be good friends with have come to be great friends. It’s one of the blessing of being all focused in the same cause all giving our best to the work.
As for the work in our sector this week all has been pretty normal. Well ´´normal´´ might be a bit much to say. This week amigo had a hard fall into alcohol again. We found him twice this week drunk out in the streets and we had to help him get back home. It’s so hard to see people you have come to care about suffer in this way. We want so badly the best things for him and we know the gospel is the best for him. We feel that he knows it to he just struggles with two things alcohol and his pride. its interesting how many times addictions or sins are normally followed with pride when someone tells us we are wrong we have two options we humble ourselves and accept and change or we get prideful harden our hearts and don’t change. Amigo for so long could not recognize that he was addicted and needed help to change and that he was doing something wrong but just yesterday we talked about repentance and finally I think he realized that he needs to change that he is in the wrong I hope that will bring the humidly and a change.
As for Octavio yesterday we got to meet with him. This time his wife was busy so we just met with him he is doing good and as we began to teach he began to talk about his problem. The main problem is that he loves to do tattoos and be a tattoo artist. He knows it is not approved by the church and he wants to do the right thing and was having the big fight inside of him. We talked and tried to help him realize that it’s not just the church that says it’s not good to tattoo but it’s a rule from god himself for us. That if we do our part god will help us find a righteous way to use our talents. The gift he has as an tattoos artist is truly a gift and we are sure it comes from god and that there is a good way to use it. I think that something we all need to know that it’s never just ´´the churches rule´´ but they are rules from a loving heavenly father and them being his rules he will help us keep them.
The week has been great we have been doing a lot of contacts like always it’s been great as things keep happing I will keep you up to date.
Have a great week
