¡Hola! Urgency that has been the big topic of my mission president this week and for a long time now. This week he really focused on how we use our time. If you think about it we have a very limited time each day 24 hours we pass at least 8 sleeping that gives us 16 what do we do with that 16 hours? Are we focused on what we should be or just passing the time. I want to share a bit about what I have felt happen with week
So first this week, we had the chance to do our wards open chapel. We opened up the chapel and where doing tours. My comp was in charge of the baptism part with another elder so I went with Elder Mangum of my district and we went out and did contacts. We hit the street and for the next 4 hours talked to everyone we saw. We let no one go by without talking to them. It was honestly some of the best time I have had on my mission. We were walking fast and working hard and we felt the blessing from on high. The time past fast for us the four hours just flew by and back at the chapel they were having good success. What would have happened if we had deiced to just stay and help at the chapel would we have been a help I think so but it would not have been the best use of our time.
Time is an amazing, thing it does not stop, you cannot call it back. We must make the best use of the time we have. Every moment every single one is important and not just for the missionaries but for everyone. The lord has a great work for each of us to do and we should dedicate all the time we have to accomplishing it.
This concept has blessed me and my companion a lot this week. Maybe we have not seen an explosive growth but I have felt an explosive growth in myself. To lay down each night and be able to say: Heavenly father today I worked hard today I worked my best.
There is a quote I love that say ´´perfection is not never making mistakes perfection is when at the end of the day you can look your friends and family (and heavenly father) in the eyes and say that you did it all that there was nothing more that you could have done that you should have done that you didn’t do. If you can say that you´re perfect´´ and as Christ said ´´be ye perfect even as I am´´
Let us all try to be a bit more perfect every day. Use the time you have a bit better find better things to do not just good things but better things even best things.
This week has been a good week for me and my comp I hope it has been great for all of you.
-Elder Harrison
les quiero mucho
