¡Hola! ¿como estan todos? This week
was a lot better of a week. We have seen a ton of success this week doing
contacts in the street. This week we actually had the odd chance to do some contacts
in English this week. We found one named Fransico who had lived in Australia
for 25 years so he speaks perfect English. We found him in the park and he talk
to us and asked us to speak in English, so we did, and found out he has had a
lot of contact with the church and that his sister is a member. The only reason
that he had never visited with missionaries before is cause he did not have
time. Now that he is back in Chile he has a lot more time. Sadly, he lives in
another sector but we happily sent him over to the other elders and are excited
to hear if he progresses. The other also is called Francisco. He had lived in California
for 20 years or so working with a man who was Mormon. He was best friends with
this man and his family. He was there as his friend died. He loves the church
and this friend. He also had not met with missionaries before cause he didn’t
have time before, but now he does. He was excited to hear that we have
missionaries even where he lives (he lives far down in the south on a farm
making goat cheese) he is awesome and we hope that the reference gets down
there to the south and they find him. It was great to see the hand of the lord
preparing these men (and many more) this week and putting them in our path to
talk to them.
The other cool thing that happened
this week was I got bit by my first dog. We were going to contact a reference
we had and there was a dog out front. He look a bit strange but was quite and didn’t
bark. So we did the contact and talked to the lady and as we finished and turn
around to walk away, the dog attacks from behind-- biting my ankle. He was a
little trickster waiting till my back was turned. After a shot and a band aid
(and six hours) we got back to the sector. Luckily, everything is fine. It has
to be the most interesting experience I have had while on divisions with
another elder.
This week has been great I love the
work I and I love working. There is such a power when we forget ourselves and
go to work. Its a great blessing to see the fruits come. I know this is
the true work and if we work hard and do what the lord has asked us he will
bless us. I hope you have a great week and a great 18th of September.
con mucho amour
These are from our trip to the zoo.
