A CONTACTING WEEK

¡hola! queridos amigos y familia  ¿como están? esta semana era una semana miedo lento pero igual hemos visto milagros.
This week has been great. we have seen allot of good things happen this week. my comp fell sick for a day so I had to stay with him. so that got some pent up energy and with that we worked hard this week. This week we saw miracles doing contacts this week. I’m starting to love contacts I really am. This week as I was waiting for my next shot for the rabies we were sitting there and I pull out my book of Mormon and start reading. As I read I find a word I don’t understand so I do the standard and ask the lady next to me with her son. They tell and I go back to reading and as I do I notice the kid is very interested in my book (he looks like a 10 year old) so then he asks me who is Moroni cause he had never seen that name in the bible before. So I pull out my bible and talk about the bible and the Book of Mormon and the difference. His mom takes note and listen I give a book of Mormon to them and testify about the church and the book. the mom starts to ask me questions I respond and testify the spirit was super strong so I ask where she lives and turns out its far away but I give her the offices number so she can call it. Next thing I know she gets called in and I don’t see her again cause I too had to go. I didn’t even learn her name but if there is one thing I am sure heavenly father put us in her path cause she is ready. I doubt I will ever see her again but I will never forget her. That and other people just ready to listen and accept it’s amazing to see.
This week we have seen a lot of hope too with an investigator named yonny he is the wife of yenny she is a member and super awesome. Yonny is not a member but has no bad feelings against the church actually the last time that we visited with him he told us that of all the churches he beleives that this is the true one. it was great progress and we have a lot of hope for him.
Changes are coming up this week I doubt that I will be going my comp might go though I really hope to stay I am loving this sector more and more never have I seen such success with contacts just goes to show that there are people out there just got to go and find them.
Tomorrow is 18 de septiembre so it’s going to be a big party which will either be good or bad I hope good.  it’s going to be interesting to see.
I love Chile it’s a great place and great people. there is no where I would rather be then Chile.
I hope you all have a good week and a magnifico 18

A BETTER WEEK

¡Hola! ¿como estan todos? This week was a lot better of a week. We have seen a ton of success this week doing contacts in the street. This week we actually had the odd chance to do some contacts in English this week. We found one named Fransico who had lived in Australia for 25 years so he speaks perfect English. We found him in the park and he talk to us and asked us to speak in English, so we did, and found out he has had a lot of contact with the church and that his sister is a member. The only reason that he had never visited with missionaries before is cause he did not have time. Now that he is back in Chile he has a lot more time. Sadly, he lives in another sector but we happily sent him over to the other elders and are excited to hear if he progresses. The other also is called Francisco. He had lived in California for 20 years or so working with a man who was Mormon. He was best friends with this man and his family. He was there as his friend died. He loves the church and this friend. He also had not met with missionaries before cause he didn’t have time before, but now he does. He was excited to hear that we have missionaries even where he lives (he lives far down in the south on a farm making goat cheese) he is awesome and we hope that the reference gets down there to the south and they find him. It was great to see the hand of the lord preparing these men (and many more) this week and putting them in our path to talk to them.

The other cool thing that happened this week was I got bit by my first dog. We were going to contact a reference we had and there was a dog out front. He look a bit strange but was quite and didn’t bark. So we did the contact and talked to the lady and as we finished and turn around to walk away, the dog attacks from behind-- biting my ankle. He was a little trickster waiting till my back was turned. After a shot and a band aid (and six hours) we got back to the sector. Luckily, everything is fine. It has to be the most interesting experience I have had while on divisions with another elder.

This week has been great I love the work I and I love working. There is such a power when we forget ourselves and go to work.  Its a great blessing to see the fruits come. I know this is the true work and if we work hard and do what the lord has asked us he will bless us. I hope you have a great week and a great 18th of September.

con mucho amour

THE 18TH APPROCHAS

THE 18TH APPROCHAS
¡Hola! this week has been a great week. one of the best things so far to happen this week is that we have been finding alot of new people. latley its been really hard to find new people to go and teach but this week as me and my comp have hit the streets we have been able to find alot of people. We have a new favorite place we call plaza de contactos (contact park) there in that park we have found the best success there and just talking in the streets. so this next week we are looking to a good one.
This week mariana and andré have been progressing alot André was supposed to get the preisthood this sunday but he got sick and couldnt leave his bed. But its a great step that next week he is going to get the preisthood. Before he was worried about it like he wasnt ready yet but when we talk to him now he is full of confindence which is awesome. hopefully next week he makes it without problem.
Also the comas family. dont know if a have talked about them before but they are an awesome family that is coming back to church. they went away for a time during medical problems but now they are firm with a strong desire to go to the temple and be sealed as a family.
Things are great here in santiago and now with the 18th of september coming up its even better. (the 18th is there 4th of july) here on the 18th they celebrate big basicly for the whole week they celebrate. im looking forward to see how it is. Last year i was in the CCM so im looking forward to this coming week.
Things have been going great i love the work and i hope you all have a good week.
