A GOOD WEEK

This week was really good. We were super blessed to find some great people this week. we met this week one man that is named Ramón. He is super great. He has had a lot of contact in the church. And when he lived in Brazil he said he assisted sometimes with his sister (who is a member). He has a great desire to learn about the gospel and to come to church. He says of all the churches he likes the Mormon Church best. Also on Sunday we had the chance to visit with Elisa. I think I have told you about them. It’s a mother and daughter. They are super nice. Sadly the daughter wasn't there, but we talked with the mom and taught her about the plan of salvation and the importance of family. She told us that her daughter has been reading a ton in the book of Mormon and we can’t wait to meet with them both again this week. We met with Augusto also and he is doing well. This week was full of work and he told us that he would not be able to meet with us. But Sunday we were close by his house and talked a bit with his wife and found out that he was in the house so we got to teach him. Sadly this week we were not able to meet with Magerena and Migule. That kinda brought us down but we set another cita and are excited for them.

The work is going super good. I love all the learning that I am doing. This week we had a meeting with president cook and he talked to us a lot and I learned so much on how I can improve. The patience the father has with us is amazing he lets us learn and stubble and is willing to wait and we learn and grow for me that is amazing to feel his helping hand every day. I’m not a perfect missionary not even close, but yet he still lets me work still blesses me with success.
I’m loving the work its going great. I am also falling in love with soccer.

AN AMAZING SUNDAY

¡Hola! How are you all doing? How’s your week been? I hope it’s been great. Our week was a bit slow but Sunday made it all worth it. It was amazing! So normally our Sundays are pretty slow. Usually not a lot happens, but this one was different. I think this Sunday was the best Sunday we have ever had.

I don’t know if you remember the family that I talked about that we found a few weeks back. Well, this week we got back to teach them, and she is truly amazing super great. She is called Macerane. She doesn’t really have a firm belief but she believes in God and that is great. She is married to a less active member named Miguel and they have one kid. They are a great family. I think great things are going to come from them.

Then after that, we did contacts and found some people who are going to be great and then we also got to meet with Agusto (our investigator with a date for baptismal) with a member and they hit it off pretty good. He has a bit of trouble with remembering to read the Book of Mormon but we are helping him with that.

Also in the night, we found two other new people- Elisa and Jocelyn. They are amazing.  They are evangelical, but good people and really want to listen. They really want to learn about those ``Mormons’` and it was great to talk to them.  That was the good of this week. We also had two ward activities that turned out amazing. We got the whole ward together with some less active members.
This week being Easter (Pascua), it was great to think about and remember and feel the power of the sacrifice of Christ for all of us. As we move away from the holiday let us all remember what he did for us. The day may pass the bunnies and little eggs may be put away but we should not forget our savior he lives to this very day he is here to help us and hold us up as long as we listen to his voice and head his council. The pain and guilt of mistakes and be washed away. It’s not hard we just have to put ourselves out there and trust in him.

OUT OF THE WOOD WORK

This week was an amazing week. I really though it went well. This week we didn’t have any huge increase in numbers or anything, but people just seem to come out of the wood work today. We found people as we were just walking to our next appointment. One we were walking by a mural of colo colo (a soccer team) and we started talking to the people next to us about colo colo and we end up finding out that they are baptized members and we got to set an appointment with them. Things like that happened all week this week. it was amazing.

We got to meet with Karina and teach them a bit about the Book of Mormon using the pictures that come in the book itself.  We also had a great chance to meet and teach and set a baptism date with a man named Agusto. He is really great he has been down here in the city for 6 months. He was talking with other elders in the north a while back but had to move. We found him doing contacts and he let us in and talked with him one day. The next day we came back and set a baptism date. We are really hoping that he will progress well. I fully believe he can. He is a great guy I’m looking forward to getting to know him more and more. Over all the week was going good.

Then came Sunday. for some reason Sundays are always harder for us. But this Sunday we thought for sure would be better than the others. The day was full of appointments. Well we finish lunch and everything begins to fall.  Everything! We did not get a single lesson. But the lord was with us this day. I could feel him walking beside us. As we were going around trying to visit with people we ended up passing by the house of Miguel and we talked with him a bit and then came out his girlfriend and she started talking with us too. then she started asking questions about the church and was super interested. We set another day to come back cause she couldn’t talk then but as we walked away I felt such a joy and happiness it was amazing.  As we kept going and things kept falling and we keep walking, I get the idea to pull out my scripture cards I’m using and study them as we walk. I pull it out and read D&C 68:6 ´´sed de buen animo, pues y no temáis porque you el señor, estoy con vosotros y os ampararé...´´ that hit me so hard I could feel him with me even if it was a terrible day. And that is really how I think I could sum up our week for lesions and things it was not amazing but I felt the lord with us this week hold us up helping us out
I hope you have a great week I really do and remember the lord is with us as long as we are truly giving it our all and trying our best to be strong.

CONFERENCE WEEK

¡Hola! Well how was that for an amazing weekend? I loved it with all my heart. I know for sure that this weekend we were truly instructed by the lord. I know that those men that have been called of god are true men of god. their words are the words of god. I believe in them with all my heart. I received a lot of personal revelation as I watched conference but I am finding that as I am passing over my notes again and studying them, that the lord does not finish revealing things when the prophet closes conference. I feel as though we have only touched the surface of the wealth of revelation and truth that is in these sessions. I feel the lord guiding my studies of these talks to see how I can improve and I know he will guide all of us if we seek it.

Other than that, it was a good week. This week I would like to mention a great family that we have started to teach. They have a great story.  The ´´aunt, ´´ so to speak, is named Karina and she and her pareja are with three kids Luis, Camilla, and Deni 13, 10 and, 6 respectively. So the reason I call Karina the ´´aunt´´ because she has no family relations to these children. The children were abandoned by their mother at a young age and a year later the father became a drug addict. He asked Karina to care for the children. She is caring for them and loves them like a mother. We met her doing contacts and she asked us to come back and give a lesson to the children. As we have had some lesions, she is pushing the children to learn more and in turn learning more herself. we can tell she wants this gospel and foundation for the children. We are hoping with time we can get them all fully involved. Right now we just lack the pareja but, we are hoping and praying.

They are really the ones who for now are progressing well for us. We have more that we are hoping will catch a bit of this spark to learn more. I love this gospel with all my heart and soul. I know that it is true. I love the savior. I love my heavenly father who is eternally patient with all of us. No matter how far we have fallen how many time we have fallen we can get back up.- never on our own but with him we can rise higher than ever before. Take his hand and he puts it out to us. He is waiting with tears in his eyes for the day that we put aside our desires and dreams and follows him.
This church is true there is no doubt in my mind.
