KEEP ON KEEPING ON

¡Hola! I hope you all had a good week this week. This week has been an interesting week. We continue to see a bunch of blessings. This week I have seen that the miracle does not mean all is done. I talked last week about some people we had found by miracle. Well even though they were found by miracle it does not mean that all the work is done. First off, Octavio and his girlfriend Caty They are the ones we found last week as we were lost in the sector we have been able to visit with them a few times and while they have all the desires in the world to come back to church, they have some things they have to clear up first. I really want to help them out and help them come back. Also, we found this week a man named Eric he is from Ecuador but has been living here in Chile for a long time. We found him contacting in the street. The was kind of closed off at first but with time he accepts and takes us right to his house and we could share with him the first lesson. He mentioned to us that he has been praying recently for a guide spiritually and when he talked to us he recognized that we were sent from god to help him. It was amazing truly. With him there is also a lot of work to do so that he came come to church and progress but the fact that he has desires to do it is the best part.

Well other than them and the other new people we have met this week we have been doing a lot of contacts this week. ALOT of contacts. it’s so amazing to see and get to know so many different people. In 10 contacts we here 10 different ideas of god and how to worship him. 10 different lives and trials and problems. I am surprised so much that god knows us how he remembers each one of our situations. Also this week I have seen that really there good and bad ways to preach the gospel. The best way is to never tear down the peoples beliefs. Each belief and each way to think of god has some point of light. the key is to not try to shut out the light they have but to help build that light show how that light can grow. This gospel is not a gospel of tearing people down but building them up. Whenever any of us wants to share the gospel (if its member or missionary) we must never tear down never fight if we fight or try to tear down or ''bible bash'' with the people we have lost as soon as we get irritated at the beliefs of others we have lost. We should always try our best to build others and never tear down. I someone comes at you trying to tear you down don’t fight back just give testimony and go that is what I have learned.

We should show the joy on our faces at all times show people how much we love this gospel and how happy it makes us. I hope you all can have a good week. Have a smile and lift someone else up this week.

MIRACLES

¡Hola! So this week for me has been a week of miracles. I want to start by telling my favorite from the week. So there came a day that I was on divisions with Elder Hanni and we had to go and find a contact we had done a few days ago we get too the street and begin to walk to find the number as we are walking I don’t recognize anything around me. It did not look anything like the part we had been contacting when we found this person. I kept going, trusting the address I had was right we keep walking when we hit a street I know is nowhere near the house we need to be at so I stop and pull out my agenda to double check the reference as I do someone calls out to us. It was a woman about 26 years old we went over to talk to her and found out that her and her boyfriend had just moved up from the south the day before and her boyfriend had been looking for missionaries to come by and visit him (he is a member (less active) who loves the missionaries) so we set up a cita for that same night. As we walk away I pull out my agenda and look at the address and find out that I had been looking for the wrong address the whole time but I know that that was guided by the Lord’s hand. that night when we went to visit him he told us that he had been praying elders would come by he and gotten to the new house and did not feel comfortable there and wanted elders to come by and the second day in the new house we found them. He and us took it as a great sign off god’s love that truly god watches out for each one of us. he is super amazing and we found him I would say by accident but I know that it was no accident it was guided by the lord.

Also these last couple weeks we had been doing a lot of contacts now a lot of contacts means a lot of people to follow up on and on Saturday we did our follow ups. the problem with our sector is that there is a lot of apartment buildings with doormen who have to call the family inside and ask if we can come it and it super easy to say no. but on Saturday we planned to go by three of them Carlos, yam and luz. To our surprised minds all three let us in. they all let us come in and teach and Carlos and yam where super receptive and want to learn more. never had I seen so many people just open the doors. truly this is a great sector I’m so happy to be here and I can’t wait for these people to continue progressing. truly god cares for each and every one of us I know he is really I know he cares I have felt his love and seen his hand this week I know he is real.

Oh and this week there was a baptism in our ward his name is Vladimir he is super awesome I don’t know him really well but from what I have seen he is and is going to be a great strength to this ward.
have a great week everyone

SACRAFICE

February 4, 2015

¡Hola! This week was another good week. I’m starting to be able to feel my way around the sector I know I few streets and a few people but not a lot. We have a few good investigators one is named Valdimir he is going to be baptized this Saturday he is super cool and super prepared his wife was recently reactivated in the church and is now the first counselor of the young women. We also have a husband and wife who is called familia amigo (the friend family that’s literately there last name friend) they are good the husband is a man who has a lot of questions and loves to think and meditate for answers he has been reading the book of Mormon and promised to come to church this week. That’s all I remember for now but it’s been good we have been doing a lot of contacts this week. Just hours in the street talking to whatever person that crosses our path. I find it to be incredibly fun and I’m hoping to see some fruits from it.

Today on my mind is the work Sacrifice and what that is. I think that is one of the greatest things one learns here in the mission is sacrifice and what it means. I love the story of Nephi going to get the plates we all know the famous attitude of Nephi ``I will go and do`` and he did that he went to Jerusalem got rejected got beat by his brothers and still didn’t give up didn’t even falter. Then he came to the point where he found Laban on the ground and that point when spirit of the lord told him to kill Laban the great `` I will go and do what the lord has commanded`` became ``I will go and do but lord I don’t want to do this``

It is one of my favorite stories because that is when I feel the lord tested Nephi’s obedience to the max. When Nephi did that I feel that turned him into a man of true power. We will all hit the same point in our life. We will be in our path completing our duty doing all that God has asked us to do. Then will come the point that the Lord will asked us to give the most important things to us.
We all have our ``thing`` which we will say ``lord I will give all that you ask me just not that anything but that`` There will come a time when the lord will ask that ```thing`` of all of us. For Nephi it was killing Laban and for Abraham it was his son. What it will be for each of us is different but we all have it. There will come a time when the lord will ask it from all of us.

The lord ask sacrifice from each and every one of us and it is a sacrifice of all things and if we are willing to give it all for him I know that truly we can come to know him we can feel his peace knowing we gave up all for him.

I love the my lord and savior Jesus Christ and I love God my Heavenly Father I know they are real and I know they love us.
