CONSECRATION

¡Hola! ¿como estan? This week was a good week. Our mission president this week has been talking about consecration and that is the focus of our mission right now. It’s amazing as we have seen the fruits of being truly consecrated to the lords work. This week up until now has been an amazing week. My companion and I This week found a new less active man named Benjamin. He is amazing he has gone away from the church manly because of his work and when we found him it was right at the moment he needed us cause he had just received word that he might be losing his job. At that exact moment The lord sent us to find him to talk to him and lift up his heart it was great. We are super excited to start working for us. It’s a miracle cause we have not found new people in so long here in this sector.
Also this week we had the chance to talk to Elder Jimenez (of the seventy) as he came down to talk to the leaders of the wards and stakes. it was an amazing talk. He talked about how this church is Christ church and that he knows what is going on he is in control. A lot of people in the stake have been complaining lately about the lack of leaders in the stake but what Elder Jimenez explained to us is that it doesn’t matter. If things are lacking the savior knows. It’s up to us to do our part and do all we can and rely on him in his time for the rest. That is an amazing lesson for all of us. Some times in the church or in life things don’t go how we would like them too or we think things are lacking in our lives but we need to remember that the lord knows what we lack and need. we should not complain but we should keep going forward with trust in the lord. Trust that he will provide what we lack.
Things have been going good. Mariana and André are almost completely active we have such a great relation with them now. they are awesome and becoming even more and more firm in the faith every time they come to church.
I love this work and I hope all of you have a great week

A PRETTY QUICK WEEK

A new change started this week but luckily I am still with Elder Chance and in the same ward. We got some new people in our district including a fresh out of the CCM missionary named Elder Thomas. He is super awesome.  I love seeing the new guys come out with such energy and willing to just go out and work. It’s great to see and a good refresher. This week was been a bit of an up and down week. The ward is doing amazing they have been having some great activities and the members have responded in great ways. One of the less active we have been teaching, named Mariana, and her grandson André, have recently started coming back after a really powerful lesson we had with her and him three weeks ago. She has not missed a Sunday nor activity since- its amazing. The member who helped us in that visit, Juan Ramirez, also was a less active but now is fully activated and helping a lot in the missionary work in the ward. It’s great to see such good progress. As my companion always says ´´They are not many but what we have is gold.´´ Which really is how we all should be. We should do our best to be the ´´gold´´ that the lord needs. Even if there is not a lot of us, we should work to be gold where we are.

Other than that things have been alright we are trying hard to find new people and to teach them. We have recently started doing a lot more park contacts and it’s been great. I love feeling as the promise comes true that the lord will put the words in our mouth if we will but just open our mouths. I love this work. I love all about it the hard times the easy times the good the bad it’s all worth it I hope you all have a great week too and that we can all keep going forward in the path of truth.

NEW HOUSE SAME SECTOR

¿Hola como les van? espero que todos están bien que están disfrutando sus semanas. Things here have been good. Today was a different day cause we got moved into our new house. We changed over to a big apartment building and now live in the 17th floor -which is awesome. It has an amazing view.
Things in the ward have been great. This week we have had some great things happen. Me and my comp are working hard to try and find new people. That has been the hardest thing for us. We have seen amazing things happen as we step out of our comfort zone and try to contact more people.
This week we had the great chance to find Zulema. We found here as we were searching for a new move in, in the ward. We went to the house and he did not live there but then we asked her if we could share a message with her. She let us come in and teach her. We then taught her about God, about the Savior, and about why we are here and where we came from. We shared about the first vision and about the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. The spirit was so strong that when we invited her to be baptized she said yes. Me and my comp walked away feeling blown away by the spirit. It confirmed my testimony that the things I am sharing are true and that the lord is really preparing people to be taught.
Things have been really great, even if sometimes hard. Chile never ceases to win my heart. The people here are amazing. I know this is a land ready for the fruit of the gospel. I love the people and I love Chile. I hope you all have a great week and that we can all keep going forward working in this great work together.

P-DAY CHANGE

¡Hola! How is everyone? I hope you are all super good. So this week we had a bunch of changes come in. The biggest of all is that the president has changed our p-days to Wednesday. Which is actually a very good change for us as missionaries.  Here, in chile, just about everything is closed on Mondays. So now we have the option to do a lot more things- including going to the temple. We are now as missionaries are permitted to go to the temple every other change. (So about 4 times a year) it is such a great blessing. We went just today and I loved it. The last time I was in the temple was before I left the CCM. It is a great blessing to have the temple so close to our mission. I know for many of you reading this also have a temple very close. It is such a great blessing to have one so close. May we always be looking for anytime we can to go to enter the house of the lord. I know that really there is a peace there that is found nowhere else. I love going to the temple. I am going to take every chance I have to go there and feel that peace. I hope you all would do the same. Do all that is necessary so that you can enter into that holy house and receive the blessings that are there.

As for my sector, things are going good. it’s still got to be one of the harder sectors that I have been in. But even though it’s been hard, we have seen great blessings. Just yesterday me and my comp head out to a park to go do some contacts. To avoid that awkward feeling that always comes with contacts, we just dive right in and go to the first people we see. I saw two men who were sitting and talking and they turn out to be the nicest people. We had a 30 minute discussion about religion and what it means to them.  It was a great time.  We find out that they don’t live in our sector, but we take there address to pass over to the other elders. I love how that works. that always the best way to do things is to just dive in. To stop thinking and start trusting.  When we sit on the edge and think, we have the chance to talk ourselves out of whatever it is that we felt we should do. When if we just jump in there is no time to doubt just faith. I have felt both sides of that this week and I promise that the side of faith is where all of us want to be.

I hope you all are having a great week and that you remember always that the lord is forever patient with us and waiting for us to come to him.

´´¡Tenagan una buena semana!´´
