LOOKING UP

¡Hola! This week got a lot better things started looking up. This week we got in a lot more houses which were awesome. The week goes by a lot faster when teaching. One of the best things that happened this week is that Antonio Comas came to church. I don’t know if I have talked about him before but Antonio is about 80 years old. He just got out of the hospital 3 weeks ago and has been in bed the whole time. We really didn’t think he was going to come because of his health but then he surprised us all and came. What makes this even more a miracle Antonio is blind has diabetes weakened immune system and he has no legs.... And he still made it to church he is a great example of faith and desire to do what is right.

This week has really just flown by I spent a couple of days out of my sector doing divs and its amazing to see the work going forward in all parts of Chile. The whole mission is getter better every week things are getting better and brighter for us.

We saw some good progress this week from a man named Carlos. He is a menos activo who has got every problem possible with the word of wisdom. This week we meet with him. While he has not dropped everything he has made good progress. He has dropped coffee and tea he is dropping down the cigaros that he is smoking and he and his brother have promised to come to church this week. We are super excited for all of them.

The work is going forward it’s amazing to see it go. I know that this work is guided by the lord I know he is protecting us helping us along this path that we are walking I feel his guiding hand every day. I know that if we follow the spirit good things can happen. Remember all dark could at some point break way to bright suns I know it’s true I have seen it this week we had a hard three weeks and now the lord has blessed us with a great week and I believe we will have another one this week

QUICK WEEK

Well this week was really a quick week. it went by super fast. It was a bit of a rough week. A lot of rejection and a lot of walking, but even with that we had some of our best lessons this week.

First off, there is a man named Antonio comas. He is a great guy and he has a great family. He is 70 years old has diabetes. He is blind with no legs. He just barely got out of the hospital. With all that he has-he has maintained his faith and love for his father in heaven. We went by him a few times this week and each time I felt so strongly the love that heavenly father has for him. I can feel that the lord will use him for great things despite his weakened state.

Also this week we have been able to visit the Navoa family. They are a family that is hovering between active and less active. We talked to them about the family and the spirit was so strong testifying to what we were saying. I could feel it in amazing ways. so with those and some other huge blessing, we have seen from the lord it was a good week.

it has shown me this week that there is a reason for all things. if we have problems, the lord is trying to teach us something. It’s not cause we are terrible people, but because the lord wants us to grow. Me and my comp have been talking a lot about how to have more success and how to find more people to teach, but what we have come down to is to keep going. Keep on working and trying no matter what. The only way to make it though the fire and flame is to walk through it. If you are passing though a hard week this week, don’t give up. Keep going! It won’t last forever. It never does. There is always an end, always a break. Heavenly Father loves us I know that I do with all my heart.

Keep going strong and keep to the truth

ANOTHER 2 WEEK UPDATE

¡Hola! Sorry I didn’t get the last blog off. Things got cut short with a full sever and a trip up a hill as a mission. I will try and hit the most important things.

First and foremost was the baptism we had. It was amazing it was Valentina who was baptized and it was amazing. This is Pamela and her family they are an amazing family that me and elder Zapata found together. Valentina is 11 and was so excited for her baptism. This family has become something special to me.  I love them with all my heart. I feel as though they are part of my family I would do anything for them.

Luckily I was able to come back after changing sectors for the baptism and was honored as Valentina asked me to do it. It was great for the whole family I don’t have a lot of contact with them now but I have some and that is good. Even with all the love I feel for them I think it’s only a small part of the love that our heavenly father has for them and for all of us. His love is something amazing something I think we get small taste of in this life and when we do they are the most magnifico!

Other than that it’s just been a couple of fast weeks I’m trying to get to know my new sector. It’s a lot smaller then my last sector.  There are fewer streets to learn which is nice, but that also comes with the problem that there are less houses and less people. It’s still a great sector though a little hard. I think it’s good though. I have seen it already that the lord can use the hard moments in our life to make us better and strong. Every problem we have, every trial we go though, is specifically made for us to help us grow in the way that we need to grow. It’s so amazing- the fathers plan, he has got it all set out and ready for us. As long as we are willing to walk the path he gives us.

I love the mission- even on the cold, raining slow days. I love the people here.  It’s an amazing culture. I hope you all are doing super great and that you all have a great week.
