A WEEK BACK TO NORMAL

¡Hola! ¿como les van? cosas han pasado magnifico aqui este semana. ese es que paso.
So first, we actually had a normal week this week. People where in their houses and everything so that was great. (Not that spending the whole day in the street isn’t great). My new comp is like a good luck charm. That must be it. So we got to meet this week with Karina and her family. We left them with a challenge to come to church this Sunday with us. Karina said it would be hard cause the little ones always have problems getting up in the morning. So we committed them to getting up early and coming with us.

Also, we meet with Elisa this week and it was kinda sad. She said that she  had a dream and didn’t want to keep meeting with us that she would rather just keep going in her own religion and not change. We ended up asking her to come to church once with us and then make her decision. She agreed.

Also we meet with Pamela and had a great lesson with her. Now she wants that we can help prepare her children to be baptized. It was good. One day that we went to visit her, it was crazy cause she wasn’t there. So as always, I called her and she answered and we talked a bit. Then I heard her boyfriend on the other side starting to tell her to hang up, to stop talking, and to tell us to go away. And then better yet, they pulled up in the car at the house, she came out shook hands with us. Then from the window of the car the boyfriend tells her to stop meeting with us all sorts of stuff (he might be just a bit against the church...just maybe.) But he drives off she lets us in as always and we have a great lesson.

Also, this week we had some great new people that we found but I will include them as they progress more.

Are you ready for the real miracles???? It came Sunday in church. So in all my 12 weeks with Elder Zapata we had 1 investigator come to church- twice that is it. This week we had all of Pamela’s family. ALSO Elisa came (she later choose not to keep meeting with us a bit sad but she came once.) ALSO Karina and all her family came AND Raymond came. There was so many people there it was great. It was a really good meeting too. I’m excited and I know it touched their hearts.

It was a great week. I got below2 pics one of us with Karina and her family. And one of Pamlea and her family (the one with white in the background is Pamela and her family)
I hope you have a great week and keep going strong.

NEW COMP

So this week was a quick week. It’s got to be one of the fastest weeks I have had. It was me and my comps last week together. It feels like just yesterday we had gotten started but we are finished now. During the week not a lot happened, but Sunday was by far our best day that we have had together. We got to meet with Raymon one of our investigators and he is super good. He is reading in the Book of Mormon. He feels that it is true he loves coming to church and is will to prepare for baptism. We are super excited for him. Sunday we spent a lot of time as my comp said goodbye. It’s so amazing how quickly bonds are formed he in the mission and not just between companions but the members to. Those are bonds that are super special and you can almost hear the pain as they break and changes come. I love to see these bonds form. Its these kind of bonds that form the ´´oneness´´ like the father and son have. a oneness in purpose a oneness in desire a oneness in faith. We should all look to have this oneness its something we all need be one with the ward one with the missionaries and one as a family. it will build bonds that last a lifetime.
Yesterday I had to let my comp go. I know he is going to move on to do great things in this work. The best part about it all I get the opportunity to get to know another missionary. His name is Elder Nichols he is from California he has got 15 months in the mission. This is actually the first time he has left his stake. (15 months in the same stake!!!) So now he is he I am super excited to work with him and get to know him more.
I’m looking forward to great things the lord is doing great things in this work I can feel it and if you don’t believe me just ask a missionary near you its worldwide and the blessings are too.
Have a great week and be strong

WEEK 11

So this week is a super special week. It’s called semana 11 (week 11). It is when the new comp is to take over the sector to see how he does-- if I were to leave this next change. And he did really well. He didn’t get lost or anything.

We also had some good lesions this week. We got to meet with Karina again this week.  Progress is a bit slow, but we still believe. Elisa and Jocelyn are about the same, but they are reading the Book of Mormon and praying about it so we have some great hope for them. This week we had some great progress. For the first time in about 10 weeks, we had investigators that came to church with us this week--Raymon and Edwardo. Raymon is amazing. He loved church and had a great time and loves reading the Book of Mormon. We have a lot of hope for him. Edwardo is an interesting case cause we meet up with him sometimes in the streets but only sat down with him 1 time and had a formal lesson. Well, Saturday we passed by him in the streets and invited him to church and he came and also had a great time. What made it even better is that Raymon and Edwardo know each other which made things even cooler.

This week we had a surprise change and our zone leader, Elder Mccloy, had to leave us which was a bit sad.  But, we had the great opportunity now to work with Elder Ogden, from Utah, who is actually from my group in the CCM- so it’s great. This week we are finishing up the change and because of the fact that we are finishing training, this is my last week with my comp. by next week I will have a different comp. it’s been a great time with elder Zapata. I know that I have learned and grown a lot- maybe even more then he has.

Also, a piece of cool news is that my mission has been selected as one to participate in a new pilot program for missionary work. Basically, it just changes the way that we report dats.  It’s a great opportunity to try something new. Though this I can see even more, the lords changes in this work his hastening this work. It’s becoming more and more urgent and the blessings greater and greater every day. I hope you all have the chance to take part in this big opportunity and feel these great blessings

RAIN!!!

¡Hola! This week was amazing for many reasons.

For the first, winter is finally starting to come and I love it! the weather has been amazing lately. It’s been cloudily and slightly rainy, which I love. 1 year of pure spring and summer is too much, oh too much! Also, this week was great cause we saw some great progress of some people.

First came from Pamela. She is a inactive member that we have been meeting with for awhile. We have been having some great lessons with her. About 2 weeks ago we committed her to coming to church and she was going to come but then cause of a fight she had with her boyfriend about it, she couldn’t come. Then, this Saturday, we were just walking down the street and we get a phone call from her she told us that she was going to come. It was amazing. And then she came and had such a great experience this Sunday.  She loved it. She said it was hard for her to be there, that some points hurt. But she knows that its where she needs to be. It’s amazing.

Also, we had the chance this week to meet with Karina and her family. It was so awesome. We have been focusing a lot more on her lately so she can see that it’s important. its working too and a great thing is that she has a boyfriend named Luis (not a lot of people in Chile are legally married) and he is always just on the couch beside us acting like he is not listening but we know he is. We gave them the invitation to go to church with us and Karina said it would be hard. Sunday is when they do all their shopping and family stuff. As we finished the lesson, her and Luis started talking and he was thinking of ways that it could be possible. So we know that he is listening.
It has been a great week maybe not as great as we would like but we can only do so much and we
hope to see some great progress this week.

Keep your faith strong mis hermanos y hermanas no importa que pasa el seƱor esta con nosotros hasta de fin de nuestras vidas
